Talented

Sometimes great power is where you least expect it.

Twenty-three-year-old Jessica Porter’s world revolved around friends, her job, fashion and chocolate. Other than chronic low self-esteem and a string of failed relationships, she was content with her perfectly ordinary life.

That all changed when Jess began manifesting telekinetic abilities, bringing her to the attention of the U.S. Government. Realizing her powers could be deadly if left unchecked, she accepts a government agency’s offer to help her control them. As the secrets of her telekinesis are unlocked and its potential is revealed, Jess is given the opportunity to use her talent to save lives.

But there are those within the halls of power who seek to corrupt Jess’s abilities. Before long, she finds herself at the center of an unprecedented arms race that could tip the global balance of power and jeopardize the very future of humankind. Alone and with the odds stacked against her, can Jess stop her greatest gift from being twisted into humanity’s most insidious weapon?

Good combination of Lee Child, Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and David Baldacci. Full of suspense and humor. Really enjoyed reading this book!

The story started off, grabbed you, and never let go. I did not want to put the book down for menial things like meals or sleep.
